1. A Mini Saga

The two trains were on a collision course.

Tao had to make a decision.

If he did nothing, all fifty children would live to see another day.

Alternatively, he could pull the lever and save a hundred convicts

He yawned and wondered what he was going to have for lunch.

I am fascinated by the art of storytelling - something seldom formally taught at business schools. I would argue that marketers and advertisers alike must be able to capture an audience’s attention, paint a vivid picture and get people excited. Delivering presentations every week just isn’t enough to equip us with these skills!

On my quest to become a better creative thinker, I stumbled upon a blog post by Dan Pink on mini sagas. A mini saga is a story told in 50 words. No more, no less. Love at first sigh…I was pleased with the discovery!

Anyway - to cut the story short, what you just read was my first attempt at writing a mini saga. It is inspired by the famous ‘trolley’ problem that has been debated extensively by ethicists. As always, feel free to share your thoughts and comments.
